These are the results of our training, paper trading on saturday in PING IDENTITY HOLDING CORP. ($PING) , for 1 hour & a half.
Results after training our trading
Profit in 6 of 8 trades. Good job. ; ) And here some comments:
You are not going to win every trade, never, but in the long run you will have benefits if you work methodically and reliably.
Forget the idea you will win every trade, that fact won´t occur ever, and run far from the people that ensure something like that. Trading is probably the most difficult profession in the world, you can be losing money from the first second you enter a trade, and that fact is very difficult to asume by our brain.
Key benefits of paper trading:
- Practice your routines of trading.
- Take decissions: Place stop loss and take profits, open and close the trades, decide to be or not in the market in some moments, etc.
- Debug your way of operation and your own mechanisms.
- No stress: not real profits or losses, not the same emotions that when the market is open and running.
- Work your Confidence, your Patience and your way of being in the market. Trading is more emotional than the people think, and you should control your emotions better each day in order to be a good trader in the future.
Key limitations of paper trading:
- No address the market impact on the securities: news, macro decissions, eventual facts, other companies movements and impacts.
- No comission and slipage, you don´see the real costs of trading, of open an operation and close it later.
- No the same emotions of the real market when is open.
Traders hate weekends
Traders hate weekends…..and we have to be prepared for the next week and this activity is a good way to be, doing some paper trading on saturday, take advantage of your weekends for improving.
